The Kegley family has asked that in lieu of flowers to please consider a donation to Saddlebred Rescue Inc.

We have learned of the passing of longtime Saddlebred and Hackney owner, Bonnie Kegley who was from Homer Glen, IL. Bonnie's show horse history began with Mike & Dale Arnston at Country Meadow Farm with such horses as Glory Preferred and Third Edition (Genius Apple Man x Sunny's Claim to Fame) who was mostly shown by her daughter, Amy.

During the years with Rick Wallen Stables, Bonnie had such horses as CH Mirific (pictured here), Phine Gifts, Famous Asset (whom she raised out of Third Edition by Attache's Liquid Asset), It's Murphy's Law (whom she raised out of CH Mirific and by Harlem Globemaster), and the Hackney pony Heartland Spectacular.
Under the direction of Tom Thorpe and Bob Griffin at Northern Tradition Farm came such grand horses as CH Highland Cavalier (2005 RWCC Ladies Amateur Three Gaited), CH Matching Spirit (2004 WC Amateur Park S&G), CH Hank Heiron, WC CH Heir to a Star (Supreme Heir x CH Super Serenade), Spent a Fortune, Spirit in Motion, WCC CH The Majestic (2006 World Champion of Champions Open Park with Tom Thorpe and 2007 WC in Juvenile Show Pleasure 14-17), CH I Rest My Case, and Wicked in a Winning Way (pictured). During this chapter of her horse life she was happy to share her love and her horses with her grandson, Bobby Kegley, and her good friend, Kelly Theis Williamson.
